ASMR Scratch & Discover (scratchvaults.com) — last updated 22 October 2026

This policy explains what ASMR Scratch & Discover does with your information. The short version: we do not have accounts, we do not have a server that stores your data, and nothing you create in the game leaves your device unless you choose to share it yourself.

There is one exception, and it only applies if you choose to buy points: the payment itself is handled by Stripe, who will have your email address and payment details. That is described under Buying points below.

Information we collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth. There is no sign-up and no login. The only time an email address comes into it is if you buy points, and even then it is Stripe who asks for it, not us.

Your game progress is stored only in your own browser (local storage) and includes:

Clearing your browser data deletes all of it. We cannot see it, recover it or transfer it to another device.

Camera and photos

Your camera image never leaves your device. Face detection for the photo filters runs entirely inside your browser using Google's MediaPipe library. No video frame, no photo and no face data is uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Advertising

There are no ads in this game. No banners, no pop-ups, no rewarded video, and no advertising trackers. An earlier version of this page described optional rewarded video ads; that was removed and the game now carries no advertising at all.

Buying points

The game is free and you can reach everything in it by playing. Buying points is a shortcut, never a requirement.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's own payment page — they never pass through this site, and we never see or store them. Stripe asks for your email address so it can issue a receipt and so your purchase can be found again later.

Because there are no accounts, your points live in your browser like the rest of your progress. If you change device or clear your browser data, the "restore purchases" box asks for the email you paid with: that address is sent to Stripe to look up which purchases belong to it, and the points are added back. We do not keep a copy of that email address — the record of what you bought is held by Stripe.

What Stripe does with payment data is covered by their own policy: stripe.com/privacy.

Who this game is for

ASMR Scratch & Discover is intended for adults. It is not directed to children and we do not market it to children. The content itself is mild — there is no violence, no gambling and no mature material — so nothing here is harmful if a younger player opens it, but children are not our audience.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. There is no chat, no user profiles, no public content and no way for players to contact each other. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing to request the deletion of — clearing the browser's data removes everything the game has saved.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game can remind you when your energy is full or when your streak is at risk. These reminders are generated on your own device and are not sent from a server. You can turn them off at any time in your browser or system settings.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, so we can tell whether anyone is playing. It is cookie-free: it sets nothing on your device, it does not follow you to other websites, and it does not build a profile of you.

What it records is limited to the page you opened, the page that sent you here, your country, and your browser and device type.

We also count a few things that happen inside the game, so we can tell which pictures people enjoy and whether the game is worth carrying on with: that a picture became ready to scratch, that someone started scratching it, that it passed halfway, that a scene was finished, that a series or the whole album was completed, that something was shared, whether the game was opened from your home screen or in a browser, and roughly how long a visit lasted (as a range, such as “3-10 minutes”, never an exact time). When a picture is finished or shared we record which picture it was, so we can tell which ones people enjoy — never who finished or shared it.

With a visit we also send two rough ranges: roughly how long you have had the game (“first day”, “8-30 days”) and roughly how full your album is (“5-19 pictures”). These tell us whether people keep coming back, which is the one thing a small game needs to know.

These counts carry no identifier of any kind. They are not tied to you, to a device number, or to each other — we can see that a picture was shared forty times, never by whom, and never that the same person did two things. To work out “first day” or “8-30 days”, your device remembers the date you first opened the game; that date stays on your device and is never sent. Only the range leaves. Your points, your album, which scenes you have uncovered and your photos all stay on your device, as described above.

If you would rather not be counted at all, open scratchvaults.com/?stats=off once on that device and nothing further will be sent from it. (?stats=on undoes it.) This setting lives on your device only.
